This Twin Lake Marina is a part of the 300 acre natural lake in its original habitat at the Twin Lake Project.Every times of the day this place evokes a different emotion and connection with the visitor.Especially when the sun sets on the shores of this lake,the romanticism of the softbreeze rustles the leaves resounding the words of Sassui who lost her heart to Punhu not more than 20 Kms away from Twin Lake at the shores of Bhambhore.
On the south eastern horizon you will observe the two domes; these domes are a testamentto the historic important of this area.They belong to the shrine which was built in memory of 12th century Sufi Saint Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jillani who made a stop over in this area in AD 1128
This natural lake is home to a large species of local and migratory
birds.Every winter numerous waterfowls fly in through the famous
route from Siberia over Karakorum,Hindukush, and International
Migratory Bird Route Number 4.It is also called as the Green Route
or more commonly the Indus Flyway.
The ecosystem of the lake is rich in nutrients that provide a nursery
and an early feeding ground for many varieties of Shrimp and fish.
